Abstract
The author provides evidence to support usage of projects for achievement assessment, analyzes the peculiarities of implementation of projects in the training of university students in foreign languages. It is noted that usage of projects as a means of assessment contributes to the implementation of such educational functions as educative, developmental and self-improvement ones. The author analyzes different types of projects that can be used in foreign languages teaching, particularly for current and final students’ achievement assessment. He emphasizes the need to consider meaningful, interactive and verbal aspects while working on the projects and during their presentation.
