Student Verification System Design based on Face Recognition for Cyber Universities

Abstract
Recently, the rapid activation of cyber universities through the internet and network developments has been demanded the various recognition technology, which can verify and confirm the users. In this paper, we design and realize the registered-students recognition system, for a cyber university, based on the face recognition technology to solve the above problems. In this realized system, we present the extraction method using the average histogram distribution in order to extract the unique features of face composition elements and the detection method due to the average color distribution of face using prior-knowledge of face compositions in order to detect the face region. And also, we show that the experimentally suggested system is appropriate to the system requiring the real-time calculation, and it has the effectiveness for the cyber university application.
