Abstract

The aim of the investigation is to trace the connections between etiological factors, metabolic pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), combined with arterial hypertension (AH). Material and methods. The study involved 184 patients with a combination of COPD and hypertension of the? second degree, stage II, 180 patients with COPD and 40 apparently healthy age-appropriate? individuals. Cytogenetic method was used to determine the ontogenetic features of the hereditary apparatus of 78 individuals.? The findings of 38 clinical, instrumental, biochemical, immunogenetic and morphometric markers were analyzed by means of correlation and one-way ANOVA test methods. Results. 186 mean force correlations were registered between the indices of spirogram, genetic markers, cytokine profile characteristics, endogenous intoxication, peroxidation of proteins and lipids, antioxidant defense system, cellular composition of bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL). The involvement of genetic background in health promotion of the investigated sample made up 21.5 %. The use of one-way ANOVA test made it possible to reveal five groups of clinical, immunocytogenetic, molecular and morphometric markers, according to which all stages of COPD associated with AH have significant differences. Conclusions. Significant correlations have been estimated between the indices of structural and functional status of genotype in patients with COPD and AH. The investigation proved essential changes of chromosomes and epigenetic chromatin modifications in somatic cell nuclei, concentration of IL-22 in patients with comorbide pathology as compared to those with COPD that was accompanied by significant impairment of endogenous intoxication level, decrease in normal and increase in pathological epithelial cells and neutrophils in BAL
