Abstract
The analysis of methods of dental students training for the licensing examination “Krok 2. Dentistry” was made at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry IFNMU. State certification in the form of standardized tests and practical-oriented state graduation examination has to improve the quality of dental training. The test examination “Krok 2. Dentistry” is a part of state certification of medical graduates. A computer-controlled testing provides the optimal way of training. In order to pass the exam a student has to solve at least 75% of the tasks. Additional counseling sessions are the part of trainings for students who solved less than 75% of the tasks (so-called “risk group”). Attending these classes is obligatory for all the students who are in the “risk group”. At the first stage teacher explains and clarifies the tests from a general bank of items. At the second stage, each student solves the test by himself. The third stage consists of checking individual results and detecting the mistakes. The fourth stage is a detailed analysis of these mistakes. To improve the quality of additional classes, which are held before the licensing examination, it is important to stimulate students to attend all these classes. That is why the great attention should be paid to the students of the “risk group”, because their absence has a negative influence on the final test result.?
