Abstract
Nowadays, transition of Ukrainian medical education to credit-modular system involves the search for optimal and progressive teaching methods. At the Department of Human Anatomy, Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University various elements of the learning process optimization for students are developed, one of which is teaching and research approach. Educational and research work of students includes making anatomical specimens, preparation of original schemes, figures, tables, holding anatomical modular brain-rings. Encouraging points are given in addition to discipline points to students who have received the highest marks for the production of drugs and took the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in modular anatomical brain-rings, competitions in anatomy and students’ conferences
