Abstract
The objective of the research was to establish clinical peculiarities of the dentofacial system using modern methods of diagnostics for patients with various forms of pathological tooth abrasion along with co-existent dentition defects, parodentium tissue diseases and dentofacial deformities in order to prove the efficiency of modern methods of rehabilitation when treating comorbidity. Materials and Methods: There were selected 110 patients with a generalized form of pathological tooth abrasion along with co-existent dentition defects, parodentium tissue diseases and dentofacial deformities. Their average age was 30-59 years. Results. The research showed the necessity of identifying clinical peculiarities of the dentofacial system and a comprehensive diagnosis of pathological tooth abrasion along with co-existent dentition defects, parodentium tissue diseases and dentofacial deformities in order to provide high-quality aesthetic orthopaedic treatment. Conclusions: 1. According to the results of the research, significant morphofunctional changes in dentition and parodentium tissues were observed in patients with pathological dental hard tissues abrasion, violation of integrity of dentition, parodentium tissue diseases and dentofacial deformities. All of the mentioned above requires a comprehensive diagnosis and high-quality orthopaedic treatment. 2. The registration of mandibular movements in patients with comorbidity using the articulation system “Cadiax Compact” allowed establishing a significant dysfunction and pathological changes in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Keywords: pathological tooth abrasion, articulation system “Cadiax Compact”, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJD), parodentium disease, dentofacial deformities
