Abstract
The analysis of indicators of thyroid status, free-radical lipid oxidation and antioxidant protection in experimental hypothyroidism was made. The results of the study revealed a stong correlation between the levels of thyroxine (T4) and the content of сonjugated dienes (CD) in the thyroid gland (negative); malondialdehyde in diencephalon (negative) and the thyroid gland (positive); catalase activity (positive); transferrin saturation (TS) with iron (positive) and ceruloplasmin activity (negative).
