Abstract
Clinical manifestations of gastrointestinal failure were analyzed in 182 newborns ? patients of intensive care units. It was established that this syndrome has a direct effect on the development of the multiple organ dysfunction syndrome which is a universal manifestation of mechanisms of thanatogenesis. Intravitam clinical equivalents of morphological damage to the organs of the gastrointestinal tract in newborn were determined by clinical and morphological comparisons.
