Abstract
Retinopathy of prematurity is a severe rapidly progressing multifactorial eye disease, which has been studied insufficiently. To identify retinopathy of prematurity risk factors we have studied case histories of the department of newborn pathology, Samara Children's Clinical Hospital №1 of the year 2013 with a diagnosis of "Retinopathy of prematurity" (48 cases). The most common comorbidities were perinatal CNS lesions (100% of cases), syndrome of motor disorders (68.75%), hydrocephalus (62.86%), respiratory distress syndrome (54.29%), congenital heart disease (31.43%). 85.71% of the infants were receiving mechanical ventilation. In this case, the 1 stage of retinopathy of prematurity was detected in infants who received mechanical ventilation for a period of 3 to 10 days, 2-3 stage ? from 10 days to 1.5 months and 4-5 degrees ? for more than two months.
