Abstract
Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) are the thin film low cost solar cells. It is based on the semiconductor formed between photo sensitized anode and electrolyte. It is a photo electrochemical system. DSSC are simple to make, flexible and transparent. The price to performance ratio is good. DSSC Consist of Transparent Conductive oxide (TCO) glass, Dye sensitized Nanoparticle, electrolyte and counter-electrode. Conversion efficiency depends on type of electrolyte used, materials which curbs recombination, type of dye and Nanoparticles. This study brings various possible arrangements of TCO and organic and natural dye sensitization of Nanoparticles and various electrolyte used in DSSC. By modifying a various component the conversion efficiency of the DSSC are increased. This study focuses on various strategies followed to increase conversion efficiency.
