Abstract
In the collection of the National Museum of Romanian History there are kept several small-sized photographs with portraits of some people who have more or less remained in the Romanian collective memory. There can be found here photographs of crowned heads (Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Elena Cuza, Princess Elisabeth), of politicians (Nicolae Golescu, Costache Negri, Ioan Emanoil Florescu, Manolache Costache Epureanu) or of ladies and gentlemen from Bucharest’s high society.
