Abstract
Queen Mary’s recollections about George Enescu represent the starting point of a captivating travel which reveals us the composer’s outstanding moral qualities. The sovereign’s notes are enlarged by some recollections of both personalities and simple people who spent time around the composer. Queen Mary’s evocations, simply entitled -“George Enescu” ? can be found at the National Archives of Romania, in English, some handwritten and some typed. Her remembrances were written at Enescu's 50th anniversary, when his closest friends gathered around to bring him their affection, love and admiration.
