Abstract
Data is an essential part of every economy, industry, organization, business function and individual and it grows day by day with the use of internet, smart mobile devices and social networking websites. Big data is a collection of data sets which is very large in size as well as complex and it is difficult for typical database software tools to store, manage and analyze. Big data introduces several challenges including noise accumulation, measurement errors, security and privacy. These challenges are distinguished and require new computational and statistical paradigm. The main focus of this paper is on security & privacy issues that are associated with big data in an organization. Big data applications benefits to most of the organizations, business, companies and many large scale and small scale industries where the information in big data is access from multiple domains. In such situation security and privacy should be maintained for the crucial part of information as well as for rest of the information too. For this purpose traditional security mechanisms are inadequate. In this paper we highlight big data specific security and privacy challenges for an organization.
