Abstract
Three key periods of development of geodetic service in Bosnia and Herzegovina are described. The first land registers in B&H come from the period of administration of the Ottoman Empire, from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century. During the occupation and annexation of B&H by the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, land surveying was conducted, land cadastre and land registration were established, road infrastructure was built, mine fields were determined, etc. During the administration of the old and the new Yugoslavia, geodetic networks were established by applying more modern methods, new survey was conducted and new evidentions were established, high quality maps were produced...At the different geodetic operations in B&H Geodetic Administration worked 982 professionals, during last 132 years.
