Abstract
This review paper is based on the various methodology for load flow analysis used in distribution system. Distribution systems hold a very significant position in the power system since it is the main point of link between bulk power and consumers. Effective planning of radial distribution network is required to meet the present growing domestic, industrial and commercial load day by day. Load flow studies in distribution systems are used to ensure that optimum electrical power transfer from sub-station to consumers. Power flow studies provide as systematic mathematical approach for determination of various bus voltages, there phase angle active and reactive power flows through different branches, generators and loads under steady state condition. This paper compares different techniques used in distribution system load flow.
