Abstract
A wireless ad-hoc network is a multihop wireless network which is collection of mobile/semi-mobile nodes with no pre-established infrastructure, forming a temporary network. Each of the nodes has a wireless interface and communicate with each other over either radio or infrared. Multi-path routing represents an effective and efficient routing method for wireless mobile ad hoc networks and the resource redundancy and diversity in the underlying network to provide benefits. Recently, many multipath routing protocols have been defined for the networks and their performance can be analyzed. Here in this paper We present an overview of few of these, reactive and proactive protocols.
