Abstract
Sixty four infants with recurrent vomiting/regurgitation underwent upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopy with a cytology brush during the neonatal period. Clinical and morphological characteristics of esophagogastroduodenitis in infants with perinatal hypoxia and neonatal infections were evaluated. The correlation between gastrointestinal symptoms, abnormal endoscopic finding, the factors correlating with development of esophageal and gastric mucosal lesions was determined. Protracted character of esophageal and gastric lesions and development of gastro- esophageal reflux and pylorospasm in infants require prolonged observation ambulance.
