Abstract
The article discusses one of the most interesting problems in linguistics, the problem of correlation of text, discourse, translation and reality. There are given different points of view to understanding of discourse. The article emphasizes the idea of discourse as a process and result of meaning creation in the unity of linguistic and extralinguistic factors. Translation is understood as translation of discourse. The notions of intertext, interdiscourse, inradiscourse are also explained in the article.
