EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE ADHESION POWER FOR SOME METHYL METHACRYLATES TOBONE IN OSTEOPOROSIS

Abstract
Two cadaveric femurs from females with osteoporosis are cut at the isthmus. Their intramedullary canals are processed by a reamer in the proximal direction, including intertrochanteric area. Into one bone low-viscose cement "Lima" is instilled by means of a syringe retrogradely, and into another bone - high-viscose cement "Symplex" is also instilled antegradely. For trials with the use of ZWICK-1464 machine 14 specimens are obtained from first bone, and 13 specimens - from second one. Thus, 27 trials for strength of coupling for these two cements to osteoporotic bone are carried out. The obtained results show that strengths of coupling to the cortical bone are not depended on their viscosity. In cases of saved endosteum these strengths increase on cement viscosity decrease.
