Abstract
Polysaccharides (water soluble polysaccharide complex, pectin, hemicelluloses A and B) were isolated from yellow melitot by sequential extraction. Polysaccharides added in the suspension of erythrocytes of the healthy donor and introduced in the body of other animals were shown to protect membrane lipids from destruction under the condition of initiation of the lipid oxidation process.
