Abstract
The role of intimal hyperplasia in the development of restenosis as a later complication in reconstructive surgery of arteries in patients with lower extremites obliterating atherosclerosis is analyzed in this work. We show our own clinical observations of cases in which intimal hyperplasia is the cause of complications as a result of anastomosis of prosthesis with an artery or in a stent. Clinical observations are illustrated by histological specimens.
