The improvement of psychiatric service structure as the most important factor in increasing the level of public health

The problem of the improvement of psychiatric service in view of up-to-date medico-social requirements is discussed in the paper. The necessity of improving the quality and efficacy of specialized service to the patients is stressed. Organizational and methodic approaches to the restructuring of psychiatric network are revealed taking account of domestic and foreign experience.
