Abstract
From the beginning of the history to the today’s world, the ongoing relations, such as cultural, economic and political with Arabic countries have created a need to learn and teach this language. For this purpose, many materials have been formed. Apart from these, press language organs in language teaching and learning play a very important role. In this context, the written press newsletters should be examined to facilitate foreign language learning and teaching and to create resources for teachers and students. Collocation structures have an important place in such an examination. To minimize the use of the word incorrectly, foreign language learners must use these words according to the natural structure of the language. This creates a need to learn structures which are reffered to as collocations. The aim of this study is to explain Arabic collocations through sport texts. In this respect, sport bulletins selected from newspapers in Arabic printed media will be investigated with the purpose of exemplifying collocations. This study is a survey research. Examples will be gathered from texts selected from printed media and findings will be obtained.
