Abstract
The fatal and nonfatal cases of acute CHD were actively revealed among 81 841 population for 6 months by review of medical out-patient cards, hospital medical histories, ambulance reports, acts of civil status, autopsy reports and premortal symptoms. The specified cardiovascular mortality amounted 57.4% of adults (?18years) mortality (vs statistical level of 61.1%, р>0.05). CHD as cause of death was not confirmed in 29.1% cases (р<0.01). As a result of detection of acute CHD induced out-of-hospital deaths the specified acute CHD death-rate exceeded the statistic level in 2.4 times (р<0.001) and out-of-hospital mortality mounted to 61.1% (statistic rate - 19.0%). The study results revealed the overdiagnosis of CHD as cause of death with significant depreciation of acute CHD death-rate, especially in out-of-hospital death cases.
