Abstract
The research studies personality-related determinants of adaptation in gamblers. Models for the study of personality-related determinants of adaptation as avoidance of positive changes are developed. The research investigates systems of psychological defenses in gamblers. Developed algorithms of psychological counseling will allow prolonging remission period and preventing relapses in gamblers.
