THE ROLE OF LOAN TRANSLATION IN THE MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY

The given article is about the problem of the translation of medical terminology into Russian. We give the classification of modern Russian medical terminology from the point of etymology, and there is the comparative-contrastive analysis of the given medical terms. Such method of translation as loan translation is described in detail, and the reasonability of its usage during the translation of medical terminology from English into the Russian language is analyzed.
