Abstract
Investigation findings of students individual psychological characteristics contributing to successful learning are presented in the paper. Influence of hemispheric peculiarities, types of the higher nervous activity, anxiety level and motivation in language mastering are analyzed, diagnostic parameters and factors of academic achievement prognosis being revealed.
