Abstract
The research is talk about the patterns of interpersonal communication between Teachers and Students in Children Daycare "Melati" in Bengkulu. The Daycare is a place where the children under the age of five years who entrusted by their parents during their work. As long as they are entrusted at the Daycare then these children are nurtured and educated by teachers. The study used a qualitative approach. While data collection techniques used were depth interviews with resource persons are teachers who teach in the Social Institution Daycare "Melati" and the children. The results indicate that the Primary Communication Patterns which refers to the effectiveness of interpersonal communication between teachers and children is obtained through openness, empathy, being supportive, positive attitude and equality that emphasizes the emotional closeness factor built between the two parties. As a result children can understand the message delivered to them by their teacher.
