Abstract
This study aims to assess the level of acceptance of the use of GPS technology for fishermen fishing in Bulukumba Regency. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is used to describe the five (5) constructs in this study which includes Perceived Usefulness, Perceived ease of use, Attitude towar Using, Behavioral intention to use, and Actual Usage. This study uses a quantitative approach. While the techniques of data collection through a survey approach with purposive sampling technique. Respondents of this study were fishermen catch ever using GPS. The number of respondents 90 people scattered in the three (3) districts namely Bontobahari, Kajang and Herlang. Assessment of the constructs in this study using a Likert scale ranging from 'strongly disagree (= 1)' to 'strongly agree (= 5)'. Analysis of data using the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results showed than 7 (seven) hypothesis adopted from TAM models that have been tested, the hypothesis H1, H2, H3, H7 H4.H6 and positive and significant impact, while the hypothesis H5 positive effect was not significant.
