Abstract

The development of communication technologies also have a negative impact. One perceived Minang community is the proliferation of deviant behavior a gay. They formed a small social group gatherings, where they hang out and get what they want, regardless of the antipathy of the public because of utilizing new media to communication and transaction in prostitution activity. This research is analyzed data by using the theory of CMC (computer mediated communications) where the communication activity between a gay prostitute with prospects and customers intensely in social media via smartphones. Communication activities and transactions completed in the media. In the collecting data the researcher used qualitative methods. The all of the prostitution activities online by gay in Padang can be explored and described in depth. The survey results revealed that at this stage there are two ways to find customers; directly through non-verbal communication, a match is resumed exchanging BB pin or facebook, and through the intermediary of a third person, ie pimps / prostitutes fellow gay, from two stages to identify potential customers and then the communication and transaction proceed through new media. Assessment with prospective customers performed with intensive communication through new media. Having considered the new bargain price matching is done. If the negotiation process was not found the deal then the transaction is canceled. Then the process of communication with customers will be interrupted, and if needed then communication is re-established.
