Abstract

In the article the features of modern methodology of legal research in the departmental university. The aim is to determine the characteristics of modern methodology of legal research in the departmental university. The methodology of legal research, on the one hand, consists of methods that reflect the ways of learning and mastering the complicated legal processes. On the other hand, the methodology serves as a set of basic philosophical positions that reflect the primary epistemological concept formation and analysis of scientific knowledge. Methodology jurisprudence has the following structure: specifically legal methodology; general scientific methodology; fundamental or philosophical methodology. The authors believe that the need to use complex methods in their relationship. The results can be used both in teaching discipline "Theory and Practice of Legal Research" or directly at the time of legal research in the border department. The authors conclude that feature the methodology of legal research in academy dictated purpose of this research in terms of their scientific value and relevance for the border agency that is directly dependent on the current socio-political processes across the state and border guards in particular, that dictated feature of the content of the educational process departmental senior military educational institution.
