Abstract
This article provides a comparative analysis of the religious, moral and aesthetic search of Zhukovsky and Decemberists in later years. The author points out that the subject of Zhukovsky’s translation was the Basel edition of the Old and New Testaments in 1821 and the Paris edition of the New Testament in 1838.
