Abstract
The article examines actual approaches to the study of the economic consequences ofthe innovation dynamics. The polyfunctionality of economic innovations is explained, such functions of innovations as adaptation, protection, differentiation, compensation and coherence are revealed. Using the methods of correlation and regression analysis, a significant role of innovation factor in achieving the strategic aims of the national economy is proven.
