Abstract

The article presents a research on the question of a game as a possible means for an independent analysis of a literary composition by pupils at the elementary school. We have singled out the tasks carried out with the help of a literary game at different stages of the lesson. Psychological and pedagogical peculiarities of the analytical processes of pupils at the elementary school in their ability to conduct an independent analysis have been formulated. The role of the teacher at the stage of pupils’ analytical skills formation has been explained. The types of literary games such as quizzes and crosswords which practice the ability to ask questions on the literary composition content have been experimentally singled out. We have also stated the criteria to define the effectiveness of a crossword as a type of the educational-and-gaming activities.
