Abstract
The influence of nitric oxide modulators ? L-arginine and N-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester on oxidative modification of tyrosine and tryptophan in the composition of proteins of the thymus and spleen was studied. It was established that under the effect of L-arginine oxidative modification of tryptophan is reduced and of tyrosine ? does not change. Given the lack of nitric oxide, damage to tyrosine and tryptophan residues is reduced.
