Abstract
The attention of recent technology has been directed toward faster and larger, and therefore the needs for more flexible and lighter structures are obvious. This trend has increased the practical importance of dynamic analysis in addition to the classical static analysis, and the numerical evaluation of vibrational characteristics of structural elements has become an important part of the design process. The free, transverse vibration of isotropic square plate is investigated in the paper. The thickness of the plate is varying sinusoidal linearly in 2D and temperature linearly in 2D: 14h=h01+Î?1sinâ¡(Ï?x/2a1+Î?2sinâ¡(Ï?y/2a"> And Rayleigh-Ritz technique has been employed to obtain fundamental frequencies of first two modes. The effect of structural parameters such as taper constants and thermal gradient with clamped boundary condition has been taken. Numerical results thus obtained are shown graphically.
