Abstract
The objectives of the present study were to find out the effects of different levels of roughoges to concentrate ratio on growth performance, feed conversion ration in Sahiwal calves. A growth trial of 45 days was conducted on 18 male Sahiwal calves divided into 3 groups of 6 animals each. The animals were offered 3 isocaloric total mixed rations containing different protein levels of 12, 13 and 14 % in group 1, 2 and 3, respectively. Weekly body weights, DM were comparable in all the 3 groups. Though growth rate and feed conversion ratio tended to be similar in all three groups and it was statistically not significant. Hence, the performance of Sahiwal Calves in all the three groups was comparable.
