Abstract
The article presents a corpus of documentary records of Nikolai Gogol's pilgrimage to the holy places, the majority of wich are published for the first time. Hand-written collections of the Pushkin House (The Institute of Russian Literature), the National Library of Russia, the Archives of Foreign Policy of the Russian Empire under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Military Historical Archive and the Russian State Library are used. Published materials are accompanied by an introductory preamble and comments.
