Abstract
Most of the construction in KashmirValley is still done in brick masonry, our research is intended to check outthe earthquake resistance of ongoing masonry building construction (mostly importantbuildings like school) and to point out flaws in design and construction that resultin poor seismic performance of such structures and to suggest adequate measuresto curb this practice.
