Abstract
This study aims to highlight the debt and equity position of two major car manufacturing companies in India i.e. Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki. In order to enhance the quality of study, a comparison is made between debt equity ratios of both the companies and further t- test is applied to find out that whether there is a significant difference between debt equity ratio of Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors or not.
