IRAQI PREPARATORY SCHOOLS TEACHERS' ATTITUDES TOWARD USING COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH AS A TEACHING METHOD FOR IRAQ OPPORTUNITIES TEXTBOOK

Abstract
The quality of teaching depends on the dedication and devotion of the teacher towards the subject of the knowledge. This study aims at identifying and classifying Iraqi teachers’ attitude toward using communicative approach as a teaching method for '' Iraq Opportunities Textbook ''. The study is restricted to the teachers (males and females) of the first, second, third, and fourth year secondary schools in Iraq during the academic year 2013-2014. In this study, 40 female teachers and 40 male teachers are included. Sixty teachers are chosen randomly to represent the main sample of the study. In order to collect the necessary data, a Checklist is applied as the instrument of this study. The Results indicate that there are statistically significant differences at 0.05 in the teachers’ attitude toward using CLT as a teaching method for '' Iraq Opportunities textbook''.
