Abstract

Mihail Aleksandroviç Sholokhov is a writer, who was born in the most turbulent period of 20th century Russia, lived in the most painful scenes, remained between the two opposing opinions, but had accepted the impartiality in his basic works. While reading the Works of Sholokhov, widely narrated trips in the pages of history we come across with love, pain, passion, betrayal, devotion, longing, family structure, the tragic scenes of domestic, generation conflicts, instability and deep moods. People from all classes had their place in Sholokhov’s works- rich and poor, aristocrats, peasants, women, men, old, young, Bolshevik, Menshevik, etc…Depending on Socialist realizm movement, Sholokhov always gave place the truth that were hidden and also were feared to say. In the transation period of the regimes, without any fear, he sometimes processed missing aspects of the old regime, and sometimes processed the errors and incorrect applications of the new regime. Sholokhov was seen worthy for Nobel Prize for Literature. As carrying the tradition and the volume of being a Cossack, he was not far from being a Soviet either. He dealt with the events in terms of time and conditions. For that reason his works have an important role not only in the borders of Russia, but also worldwide. In pages that are full of history, traditions and customs of Don Cossacks and their view of life, asset activities of historical crossroads are fully explicated in different ways.
