Abstract
In this study, we have determinated levels of retinol, retinyl palmitate, β-carotene, a-tocopherol and vitamin C in rat tissues treated with Hypericum Perforatum L. (HP) and 7,12- dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) with high-performance liquid chromatography. The present study was designed to evaluate the effect of HP extract on retinol, retinyl palmitate, β-carotene, a-tocopherol and vitamin C in rat tissues administrated DMBA. Results of this study demonstrated that, on the 60th day, there was a significant decrease in levels of vitamins in DMBA-treated group compared to the control group levels. A significant increase in the level of vitamins was observed in the DMBA+HP. -treated group compared to the DMBA treated group.
