Abstract
The article is devoted to the evolution of “orient” story in the Russian literature of the XVIII ? the beginning of the XIX centuries. Theoretical and scientific studies on genre originality of "orient" story in given period of Russian literature by V. N. Kubacheva, G. D. Danilchenko and G. V. Subbotina and the issues of genre typology at the beginning of the century are considered.
