Abstract
Abstract: - One hundred type II diabetic mellitus patients (50 male & 50 female) were selected for study& compared with equal number of controls. Distribution of fingertip patterns showed significant difference between diabetics & controls. In diabetics patient’s frequency of whorls is significantly increased in both hands of males and females. While frequency of ulnar loops is significantly decreased in both hands of male & female diabetics as compared to controls. Arches were significantly reduced only in right hand of male and left hand of female diabetics. Radial loops showed no significant changes in both sexes.
