Abstract
The main task of this paper is to introduce Manar magazine (1898 ? 1935), formerly owned by Mohamad Rashid Ridha, as a historic resource, for this magazine, through half a century of its life, had dealt with a number of religious, intellectual, political, and cultural issues related to the history of the Islamic world in general and the Arab world in particular, and specifically Egypt, in addition to discussing a large number of global issues. This research introduces what information the magazine has to offer about all those historic issues, and sheds light on the resources of the magazine in treating them. The research also analyzes, criticizes, and assesses the historic material offered by the magazine. It would also recommend researches on how to benefit from the huge informative content of the magazine.
