Abstract
The article observes teaching Russian as a foreign language outside the natu- ral language context. The successful education and language adaptation of international stu- dents depend on various components such as traditional work in class, autonomous work, out of class activities. The Russian teacher not only activates the linguistic and communica- tive skills of overseas students but also forms their social and cultural competence. Different methods of educational process help to achieve the main goal of teaching the Russian lan- guage ? preparing the international students to living and studying in Russia
