Abstract
As a simple, efficient and low-cost detecting instrument, test strips provide an effective guarantee for the rapid detection of food safety. In this review we discuss the development of test strips from the perspective of rapid detection technology, including paper chromatography, chemical colorimetric, enzyme inhibition, immunoassay, biochemistry and molecular biological technology. Then, the innovation of the typical test strips is briefly analyzed, such as paper-based microfluidic analytical devices, nano-materials markers and paper analyzer. Finally, the prospects of test strips are predicted.
