Tiered Architecture Analysis of Web Based Healthcare Systems

Abstract
Healthcare in Iraq-KRG (Kurdistan Region Government) were in a traditional system before the computer-internet or information communication technology (ICT) era. The traditional healthcare (TH) suffers continually from being a slow-paced process, in which, patients and healthcare-center staffs must do many efforts for contact between them. Additionally the process is time, safty, and money consuming for the patients and TH-centre with lots of untidiness, paper work, that effect unfairness of information delivery between them. The quality of information (QoI) is very poor if compired to heathcare system by using of some ICT technologies namely semi-electronic healthcare system (SEHS). Nowadays, the healthcare system in KRG is neither traditional nor fully electronic (web based), but it’s SEHS due to use of ICT facilities (ie.internet, SMS, email, mobile and landline phone, Answering machine, viber and Fax). The patients used most of the ICT unlimitedly for the reason of healthcare activities without controlled by popular ICT , for example the internet. SEHS made life easier for healthcare activity society, but the web based healthcare (WBH) system is much better than SEHS because WBH controlled by internet facially and more cheaper than the others. This research addresses the problem statement and provides the roles of web based healthcare system and solution for facilitate a fully automating the completely healthcare system and eliminating the paper work and unfairness time-consume also integration of healthcare center sections (i.e. physicians, pharmacies, radiographer, Laboratories, Administrative, and staffs) with availability of twenty four hours and seven days a week. The tiered architectures namely single, two, three and N-tier architecture have an important role in future WBH (e-heath) system.?? In this paper, WBH or e-health is proposed; with the system designed and implemented using 3-tier client/server architecture model. The three tier architecture more suitable for WBH then the other tiers, also the open source namely Window Apache MySQL PHP (WAMP) version5 been used to design and implementation the proposed system.
