Sign Language Recognition using Digital Image Processing

Image Processing is the technique of changing, enhancing and analyzing the attributes of an image like brightness, contrast or any other characteristic of the image. Many complex computer algorithms have been developed for the feature extraction, enhancement, recognition and classification of a digital image. This technique is hence known as digital image processing. The advanced properties of digital image processing techniques may be utilized in a productive manner to design a human computer interface system so as to help the deaf dumb or any other signing people to communicate with the outside world easily.?
